Diesel DZ1000 series

Diesel’s watch collection, featuring model numbers ranging from DZ1000 to DZ1999, forms the core of the brand’s identity. While many fashion brands opt for subtle designs, these models are known for their “Only the Brave” mentality: bold, industrial, and often unconventional.

Size:
Diesel is known for its “oversized” cases. In this range, case diameters vary from a modest 36mm (DZ1999) to a massive 50mm+.
Movements:
Virtually all models in this range use quartz movements (battery-powered), supplied by the Fossil Group.
Materials:
Plenty of stainless steel (often with a black or gold-colored PVD coating), mineral glass, and straps made of genuine leather or sturdy silicone.
Water resistance:
Usually limited to 5 ATM (rain and splash resistant), as these are fashion watches and not professional diving watches.

Models with lower numbers (such as the early DZ1000 series from the early 2000s) are no longer in production and are often sought after on the secondhand market due to their unique, sometimes bizarre retro-futuristic designs that Diesel released experimentally at the time.
